After your child’s Multidisciplinary Evaluation (MDE) has been completed in your home and it’s been determined that ongoing services will be needed, you should expect to hear from your child’s Early Interventionist within two weeks.
During the first visit at your home your interventionist will introduce him or herself and explain to you what ongoing Early Intervention services will look like in practice. You can ask questions to your interventionist about your child’s recent evaluation and also how he or she will be interacting with your family. At this time you will be given a Pinwheels DTS folder that contains information about our agency and Pennsylvania’s Early Intervention program.
Your interventionist may as you to show him or her typical places your child plays in the house or where complete your daily routines. Don’t worry, your interventionist is very comfortable exploring new environments!
At the close of your first visit your interventionist will ask if you have any questions and will complete a Session Summary Form for you to review and sign. A yellow copy of the form will be given to you. This form will be completed with you at the end of each session.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact your interventionist, service coordinator assigned to your child or Megan R. Keeler, director of Early Intervention at Pinwheels DTS. She can be reached at 610-745-2233 or via the contact us page on this site.
